Over the weekend, 5 of my best photog girlfriends and I got together for a Rock the Frock shoot. We bought dresses from goodwill, dressed up and took photos of each other. We learned a lot, had a blast and came away with some really fantastic images.

I'll post one of each of the girls throughout the week. First up is Betsy. I love the mysteriousness of this image. Check out her post of me.

Tin Man and Toto

These characters are made out of materials that would otherwise be thrown away. I'm not sure who the character in the second image is supposed to be, perhaps you recognize it? At one time there was a lion as well, but he met his demise a few years ago. I keep hoping the owners will create a new lion and add Dorothy and a scarecrow to the collection, but so far that hasn't happened.

These are located just a couple of miles from where I live. It's funny how I drive by them all the time and only this week thought to photograph them!

A couple of weeks ago I introduced you to Barney, one of two cats with whom I share my home. Today's post is of my other cat, Bailey. Bailey is 17 years old and recently had a stroke. Since then she hasn't been doing so well and we're afraid she won't be with us much longer. As long as I've known her, she has spent most of her time hiding in the basement. Now that she needs extra care, she is confined to a part of the house with no stairs, thus she hangs out with us more. I love how this image captures her striking green eyes.

Malachi

It's pet photo wednesday..and today's post is of a very special dog. Malachi is my dog Mika's brother. It's been just over 4 months since Mika passed away and I still miss her terribly. Since then Mally has come over on occasion to keep me company. No visit is complete without taking some snapshots of him!

I just got back from spending a couple of days in Washington DC for the cherry blossom festival. Had a fantastic time, took a ton of photos, walked who knows how many miles and even got a sunburn!
