This is one of two cats I share my home with. Barney, almost 17, is completely deaf. He has a Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde personality...one moment he is sweet and affectionate, the next you are wiping blood from the wound he just gave you. As he's gotten older, he's mellowed quite a bit. Though I've lived with him for several years, I don't take many photos of him. I have to admit his being deaf poses some challenges.

I imagine I'd be cranky if I was deaf, too.
