When I traveled the midwest in my youth, I experienced exactly the same things that you described in your narrative. I found all the small midwest towns that I visited very friendly, down-to-earth, traditional, and unchanged. It was very refreshing. I even found a real soda fountain in a small drug store, just like they used to have all over the place when I was a little kid. I hope you had a great Memorial Day.Russ Devanhttp://newhanover.aminus3.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6572052457569969538.post-20182713588046596382009-05-26T12:37:14.353-04:002009-05-26T12:37:14.353-04:00The picture and story are so real I feel as if I w...The picture and story are so real I feel as if I was there.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08503137997536454220noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6572052457569969538.post-2885426025238561172009-05-25T23:06:06.165-04:002009-05-25T23:06:06.165-04:00Terrific!!!!
